Introducing the American Home Collection for American Paint Company

I received a message from American Paint Company yesterday and am so excited to share the news with you!

“American Paint Company is pleased to announce the launch of a new color collection for Fall 2014 and updates on the main color line.  We pride ourselves on making the healthiest paint available for the DIY furniture painter, along with staying on trend in the home d├ęcor market.  We will be retiring colors, moving colors from our 2013 Ellis Collection into the main line, and launching a new color collection called American Home.”

Aren't they gorgeous!

The new colors will be available in pint and sample sizes, however they will come in the same type of cans as the quarts of paint - so no more messing with those plastic containers with screw off lids!

We now have a true sage green (Topiary), mustardy yellow (Vintage Velvet)
and burnt orange (Shag Carpet).  Customers have been asking for these
colors and I am so thrilled to be able to offer them.  I can't wait to play with them.

The Ellis Collection will be retired, however the more popular colors will be moving into quart size.   They are:

  • Cannonball
  • Crushed Tea
  • Leather Boots
  • Limoges
  • Peacock
  • Sackcloth
  • Treasure Box
  • Voyage
  • Also being added is Gun Powder - a dark gray just this side of black

The colors that are retiring are:

  • Bordello
  • Cameo - Ellis Collection
  • Dawn's Early Light
  • Desert Cactus
  • Home Turf
  • Lincoln's Hat
  • Momma's Lipstick
  • National Forest
  • Orange Grove
  • Parchment - Ellis Collection
  • Saddle -
  • Shining Seas
  • Tea Cup - Ellis Collection
  • Waistcoat
  • Wild Horses

The main line will have 30 colors available in Quart and Sample sizes:

There will be 42 colors overall in lots of different shades and sizes.  I have placed my initial order and expect to have them in stock by early November.  For those of you that are local to Northeastern PA, the retired colors will be on sale at my booth in Cottage Crafters East so if there are any that you love or wanted to try - hurry in to get yours while supplies last.

When they are gone . . . they are gone!

Octagon Table

This is another table that I received from my sister.

It's a cute little piece.

I did a grain sack stripe on the top
for that something a little extra.

Adorable - right?

This table is available at my booth in Cottage Crafters
(the APC Navajo White paint is available online and in my booth).

1980's Style Cabinet Makeover

My dad gave me this old 1980's style cabinet.

Sorry, I didn't get a picture
with the door on for the before.

Don't you love the 1980's painted
hearts and swirls?
Hahahahaha

I really was not sure how to make it
into something more up to date.

After thinking about it for awhile . . .

I asked my son to cut the top off.

Goodbye hearts and flowers!

I painted the cabinet in
in a style that matches the
garage sale cabinet.

I can picture this being used as a side table
or in a bathroom with magazines in the top
and supplies in the bottom.

Big transformation - don't you think?

This cabinet and the paint are available
for sale in my booth at Cottage Crafters.

Or send me a note if you are interested in the cabinet.

The paint is also available online!
